A modern air-conditioned reading room and seminar room have been inaugurated for the students of Shahid Felani Hall of Begum Rokeya University (BEROBI).

The two rooms were inaugurated as the chief guest at a ceremony held on the ground floor of the hall on Wednesday (September 16, 2026) morning by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali.

After the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor said, “We are determined to ensure a conducive environment for students to study. Various problems of Shahid Felani Hall are being resolved step by step. Necessary modern facilities, including air-conditioning, have been provided so that students can study without any disruption during hot days or during exams.”

The university administration said that as part of the modernization, necessary facilities for students, including air-conditioning, have been added to the reading room and seminar room. It is expected that this will further improve the environment for students’ studies and academic activities in the hall.

The university’s Registrar (Additional Duty) Professor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman and Shahid Felani Hall Provost Professor Dr. Mosha. Sifat Rumana were present at the event. In addition, the hall’s assistant provost, students, officers and employees participated in the event.
